Alex and I had planned to do Tennis Shoe on Idwal Slabs today but we made a last minute dash to Tryfan’s summit instead.  Finding an easy route up to the Heather Terrace was impossible but once there, mistakes in our guide book made finding the start of the climb even harder!  For future reference, the diagram on page 114 of Mike Bailey’s guide to Ogwen shows Pinnacle Rib Route and Overlapping Rib the wrong way around!!  Once we got going the climbing was great, we finished the route then scrambled up to the summit to say hello to Adam and Eve (the two boulders) and a man dressed as a crocodile before descending via North and Little Gully.
