Tryfan Fach (Ogwen, North Wales)

Today started badly -  I’d  been a proper spanner and forgotten my jacket!  Thankfully the expected heavy rain turned out to be little more than a few light showers and Dan had a spare soft shell that he let me borrow.  Before the rain arrived we managed to run up Crack1, the easiest line we could find.  We were feeling quite pleased with ourselves until a nice lady climber solo’d past us on a harder route wearing walking boots instead of climbing shoes.  The shower made Crack4 and Crack3 only a smidge more interesting but the easy climbing gave another well needed opportunity to practice our rusty (read rubbish) rope work.   Dan managed to keep all of his toe nails for a change but best of all, we saw a nice goat.  If you zoom in on the picture of the slab, the team in the red and yellow jackets are stood at the start of Crack1, Crack3 starts at the yellow rucksack to the right and Crack4 is the next along just before the triangular niche.
